Over the course of this story, there's been a fairly significant variation in artistic choices, like color schemes and gray tones, use of black inks, etc. Most of these changes came about as I started to figure out what I could do without adding too much production time to each page.

The biggest difference between this comic and most of the previous Bomango work was my early decision to physically draw the line art with pencil and ink. I believed that this would help me with the composition of the page, and be a faster method for getting the line work done.

I did find that penciling in the page helped a great deal with realizing the layout of the page, and physically inking the page was fun. But I wasn't terribly skilled at inking that way. Even though I got more confident with the pen as I progressed, the net result was that even a page I thought looked good just didn't look...right.

You may or may not agree with that, but I decided with this page to try my hand at going back to digital lines--something I'm much more practiced at. I still did the initial page layout with pencils, and the rest was done in Photoshop. The result, to me at least, is a cleaner set of lines, crisper detail, and a look that's more familiar to Bomango.

Anyway, enough shop talk. Hope you enjoy!

Forget the nukes, the boy here just dropped the Andy Bomb
On the art, I've noticed the change, and I do like it! The clean lines make this page feel smooth, almost like an animated cartoon
